GENERAL INFORMATION
The 2502 Rain Gauge is an economical tipping bucket rain gauge. Its simplicity of design assures trouble free operation yet provides accurate rate of rainfall measurement.

CONSTRUCTION
The 8" orifice funnel is manufactured from anodized aluminum to meet the National Weather Service

Specifications. The housing, bucket supports and tipping bucket are PVC, to be robust, chemically resistant and environmentally stable.

OPERATION


A ceramic magnet mounted in a recess on the tipping bucket activates a proximity switch, to provide a contact closure at every calibrated tip of the tipping bucket. Calibrations are specified at the time of ordering as one of those listed under specifications.
