Donar, Model A35 DC Amp Hour Meter Operating Power:
12, 24, 48, 120, 250 VDC, 24, 120, 230 VAC 50/60 Hz
Accuracy: +/- 1 % of reading.
Use: General Monitoring

  • Determine capacity in a battery storage system.
  • Calculate average current generated or consumed in systems with variable duty cycles.
  • Especially useful for monitoring photovoltaic systems.

THE DONAR, Model A35 DC AMPERE-HOUR METER displays accumulated direct current in an electrical circuit. An electromechanical counter totalizes integrated current values as ampere-hours (the product of instantaneous current values and time). Retains reading after complete power failure.

The Donar senses current using 50 mV shunt inserted into the `common' (return) line in series with the device or system to be monitored. The shunt produces a proportional voltage which is converted by the A35 to a digital pulse train, itself proportional to the current. Thus, each pulse represents a unit of charge passing through the shunt. The display counter is incremented upon accumulation of a predetermined number of pulses.

A window on the front panel allows viewing the counter and power indicator while maintaining the integrity of the enclosure. This instrument has been engineered to combine flexibility and ease of operation with high reliability and accuracy.

Shunts of various standard current ratings are available to match your requirements. Other shunts may be substituted in the field by applying appropriate scale factors to the display.

Options:

Analog Output  Donar also provides an analog output signal which can be used for displaying or strip chart recording of instantaneous current levels.

Digital Output  Additionally, a pulse initiating output is available for magnetic tape recording or data logging.

Lo-Temp Option  Where integrator operation below freezing temperatures is required, an extended temperature range from - 20 to 70° C is available.
