When I began developing electronics 33 years ago I did so because of my love of engineering and design. For me, nothing is more personally satisfying than producing a design that is both elegant in its simplicity and steadfast in its quality. When I founded Comptus I did so with the simple mission of providing a small product line of truly exceptional equipment that would withstand the extremes conditions and demands of professional use. Equipment I could be proud of.

Sadly, I have seen a growing trend in the industry to produce equipment as cheaply as possible, no matter the consequence on durability or quality.

I believe an inexpensive product that breaks is not inexpensive in the end.

The hidden costs of poor quality electronics can be found in rising business expenses in lost productivity, replacement equipment, and often installations labor. Time and money are wasted when contractors are forced to revisit a site and replace equipment that should have functioned for longer. This expense increases proportionally with each of these devices you install.

Comptus products are built to last. No product reaches the market without meeting my personal values and I would not want my name on a device that lay broken.
