The design simplicity of Comptus Rain Gauge instruments provide for trouble-­‐free operation and accurate rainfall measurement.   Our rain gauges and rain gauge transmitters are manufactured to US National Weather Service specifications and are composed of high-­‐quality and chemically resistant PVC materials.

The Comptus A70-­‐H relative humidity sensor provides an analog output signal proportional to relative humidity. The A70-­‐LPDD loop indicator can be used to display the senses relative humidity with the 4-­‐20 mA output. These units are used in conjunction with electronic data collection systems or for input to control systems. They are readily combined with meter relays to provide custom controls.

Systems are available with outputs of 0-­‐1 V or 4-­‐20 mA. The A70-­‐H is powered from 6 -­‐ 30 VDC.

Relative humidity is sensed by a thin-­‐film polymer capacitor sensor with excellent durability in harsh environments. The relative humidity sensor is protected by a hydrophilic membrane under a wire mesh screen.

Comptus Barometric pressure sensors utilize an integrated silicon, absolute pressure sensor with internal temperature compensation. The sensor is mounted to the signal conditioner board. A 3/16 inch diameter tube may be attached to the sensor to provide remote pressure sensing. The output of the sensor is scaled to provide the desired output signal.

Comptus Barometric Pressure sensors are available with outputs of 0-­‐1 mA, 0-­‐1V or 4-­‐20 mA. All sensor systems may be powered from either 120 VAC, 230 VAC or 12-­‐24 VDC.

Comptus Barometric Pressure sensor instruments are available in a variety of packages including steel JIC boxes meeting NEMA 12 standards, weatherproof fiberglass enclosures meeting NEMA 4X, IP66 and IEC 529 standards and track mounted versions. NEMA 12 enclosures provide protection from dust for indoor applications. NEMA 4X enclosures may be used indoors or outdoors and provide protection from corrosion, wind blown dust and rain and ice. Track mounted versions are intended for mounting inside an enclosure provided by the user. Where required, electrical connection to the sensor is via terminal block. A barrier strip is provided for connection to operating power.

The Comptus A96 Surge Arrestor utilizes gas tube circuit protection that automatically resets and requires no maintenance. Our Comptus A76 series mounting components provide stable fixtures specifically designed for our commercial wind sensors.

The Comptus A70 Series solar radiation sensors with transmitters are available in two models.  The A70-A PAR Sensor measures photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) in the 400 to 700 nm range.  The A70-I Insolation Sensor measures solar radiation in the 280 to 2800 nm range.  The signals from the sensors are scaled by the signal conditioner to provide the desired output.
