Weather conditions, especially location-specific wind and humidity, can make a huge impact on firefighting and emergency management response. With the WeatherFlow WEATHERmeter, emergency response professionals can now use the pocket-sized device to accurately measure weather conditions & instantly report back to central command. WEATHERmeter uses Bluetooth Smart technology to wirelessly communicate with a smartphone app enabling each responder to act like a personal networked weather station.

For Firefighters and Emergency Management

Location-specific wind and weather can radically affect drones and RC planes. With the WeatherFlow WINDmeter or WEATHERmeter, you can now use the pocket-sized device to accurately measure and share conditions before flight. If you use GPS sync to fly pre-described flight paths, make sure to take into account wind speed and direction to avoid drift or loss of your expensive craft. It’s also helpful to calculate the effect of wind on your battery time as a drone battling the wind to stay in position draws significantly more power.
