Description: The Model A70-SD Wind Speed & Direction Translator provides analog output signals proportional to wind speed and direction.

It accepts signals from wind vanes such as the Comptus A75-302 potentiometric sensor, and anemometers with AC generators such as the Comptus A75-104.

The Translator may be several according to customer requirements. It may be track mounted for installation in an existing enclosure. It may be supplied in a steel NEMA 12 JIC box for inside deployment or in a fiberglass NEMA 4X box when a weather proof box is required.

The transmitter converts the information from the sensors to 4-20 ma signals proportional to wind speed and direction. Systems are available with outputs of 4-20 mA, 0-1 mA, 0-1 V, or 0-5 V. All systems may be powered from either 12 – 24 VDC, 24 VAC, 120 VAC, or 230 VAC.

The standard configuration includes the translator board with snap track for installation in an existing enclosure. Enclosures are recommended to provide protection from corrosion, wind blown dust and rain. Where required, electrical connection to the sensor is via terminal block. A barrier strip is provided for connection to operating power.

Each system is provided with a detailed instruction manual.
