Comptus A70H Series: Temperature and Relative Humidity Sensors

The Comptus A70H Series air temperature and humidity sensors, humidity and pressure transmitters provide analog output signals proportional to the condition (s) being monitored. These temperature and humidity sensors, including the relative humidity sensor, are used in conjunction with electronic data collection systems or for input to control systems. They are readily combined with meter relays to provide custom controls. Units are available with either 4-20mA out RS485 outputs. They are powered by 12-24 VDC.

The A70-T is a rugged 1K ohm platinum RTD temperature and relative humidity sensor designed for use in demanding environments. It is well suited to installations in industrial facilities and power plants requiring pressure humidity sensor automation.

The devices are available as single or combined parameter sensors, and have several radiation shield options.

Many types of industries use outdoor compressed air humidity sensors, humidity sensors for industrial applications, and temperature pressure sensors to improve facility response to outdoor environmental conditions. The sensors are designed with robust capabilities, providing stable and accurate results. This includes the integration of high temp humidity sensors and temperature & humidity transmitters, ensuring precision in monitoring environmental factors.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What’s the difference between a temperature and relative humidity sensor and a humidity-only sensor?

A temperature and relative humidity sensor measures both temperature and humidity, providing more complete environmental data for automation and monitoring systems.

Can these sensors be used outdoors?

Yes. With the proper radiation shield and weatherproof housing, our air temperature and humidity sensors perform reliably in outdoor conditions.

Do the sensors require recalibration?

They are factory-calibrated, but recalibration may be needed for high-precision applications or in harsh environments.

What output formats are available for Comptus temperature and humidity sensors?

Our sensors are available with 4–20 mA or RS485 output options, ensuring compatibility with most industrial monitoring and automation systems.

What is the lifespan of an air temperature and humidity sensor?

With proper installation and maintenance, Comptus sensors can last many years. The actual lifespan depends on environmental conditions and frequency of use.

Do these sensors require a separate power supply?

Yes, they operate on 12–24 VDC and require a stable power source for accurate readings.

Can I measure pressure along with temperature and humidity?

Yes. The A70-T model includes optional pressure measurement, making it ideal for industrial automation and process control.

How do radiation shields improve sensor accuracy?

Radiation shields protect the air temperature and humidity sensor from direct sunlight, which can cause false temperature readings due to solar heating.

Are these sensors suitable for high-humidity environments?

Yes. Our high-temperature humidity sensors are specifically designed to perform reliably in environments with 0–100% RH, even in challenging industrial settings.

What industries commonly use temperature and relative humidity sensors?

Industries include HVAC, agriculture, manufacturing, power generation, energy, and environmental monitoring.

How often should I clean my temperature and humidity sensor?

We recommend checking the sensor quarterly and cleaning it if dust, dirt, or debris accumulates on the housing or sensing elements.

What is the accuracy of Comptus relative humidity sensors?

Our sensors have an accuracy of ±2% RH and ±0.2°C for temperature, ensuring reliable measurements for critical applications.

Do Comptus sensors work in freezing conditions?

Yes. They can operate in temperatures as low as -40°C without compromising performance.
